Pouilly-Vinzelles is a small Appellation (50 ha) that is unfairly overlooked. Yet the terroir of Pouilly-Vinzelles has many similarities with the Pouilly-Fuissé of its neighboring village, Chaintré. Here, however, the clay-limestone soils facing the Saône plain are a little deeper and richer in silica, giving Vinzelles wines great finesse and minerality. Les Buchardières' is a mid-slope climat, ideally exposed towards the Saône valley. The deeper, siliceous-clay soils here give an expression that combines opulence and minerality.
