In its youth, this wine evokes white fruits (pear, peach) and white flowers (acacia). The wine is fresh and mineral, balanced on the palate with a touch of honey and citrus on the finish.
At the southernmost tip of Burgundy, the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation covers 800 ha, 194 of which will be classified as Premiers Crus from the 2020 vintage. The villages of Chaintré, Fuissé, Solutré-Pouilly and Vergisson make up its exclusive production area, in an exceptional natural setting: the world-famous rocks of Solutré and Vergisson, Jurassic limestone spurs culminating at 495m and classified as a "Grand Site de France". The 3 hectares of Domaine Georges Burrier are mainly spread over 3 climats in Fuissé. The Domaine's cuvée comes mainly from the 'Vers Chânes' terroir on the heights of Fuissé towards Chaintré, where the cooler, older soils produce fruity, fragrant wines.
