The terroir and our natural, low-intervention winemaking techniques enable a seductive, balanced expression of Chardonnay, with notes of citrus, white flowers and a touch of toast, and the balanced, fresh finish of a fine white Burgundy.
The Château du Clos vineyard, cultivated without chemical inputs since 2009 and certified organic since 2013, forms a veritable Burgundian Clos covering 3 ha in a single block around the Château. Its soils, which slope slightly to the northeast at an altitude of 270 m, are composed of clay and scree over limestone marl, and are ideal for producing great white Burgundies that are complex, intense and long-lasting. Within Le Clos, a small parcel of 0.75 ha has not been classified as Pouilly-Fuissé 1er Cru, as its exposure is NORTHEAST; we therefore produce a small quantity of Pouilly-Fuissé du Château du Clos here.
