The wine reveals a brilliant ruby color, a distinguished bouquet of flowers (peony, wilted rose), fresh black fruits (blackberries, cherries) and spices (white pepper). The palate is complex, intense and refined, with an airy "sweet" fruitiness and a long, silky finish. The terroir and the Gamay variety used give Grand Beauregard a very Burgundian style, both powerful and elegant, racy, with great cellaring potential.
We're in southern Burgundy, in the Beaujolais region, and Moulin à Vent is considered the most "Burgundian" of the region's 10 crus, no doubt because of its ageing potential. Total surface area of the Appellation: 620 hectares in the villages of Romanèche-Thorins and Chénas. GRAND BEAUREGARD is an exceptional wine that expresses the ultimate excellence of Château de Beauregard. It is made from our oldest vines and best Moulin-à-Vent parcels. GRAND BEAUREGARD is aged for 24 months in barrel and will be kept in bottle for 5 to 7 years in our cellars before being sold.
